The Chapman50 program model provides members with VIP access to established university events, while tailoring new and unique events to meet the specific professional and social interests of the group. At a minimum, the group will offer its signature Alumni Leadership Summit (open to the greater Chapman community), three professional development events (for members-only), and two social mixers (open to family and prospective members). At a maximum, the group will host eight events annually. Events designed especially for members and supported by the Chapman50 Council include the following:

Chapman50 Alumni Leadership Summit

Target Launch date: 2014

The group’s annual flagship event will bring together prominent academic and industry leaders. The Summit will initiate an academic and professional thought conference, creating a dialogue between nationally renowned guest speakers and Chapman50 members. Alumni internationally, notable faculty, industry innovators, and members’ families will be invited to the group’s largest event of the year. Given the scope and size of this event, it will be fee-based.

Executive Roundtable

Members will have ongoing opportunities to dialogue among each other and Chapman’s esteemed university leaders to provide not only Chapman50 program updates, but also gain individualized professional and personal guidance. The Roundtable gives members a casual environment to acquire the professional knowledge they need to be effective leaders.

Industry Connect

Four industry-specific alumni gatherings will be hosted at exclusive company locations. Each event will feature a notable guest speaker who will share timely topics and challenges facing their profession or industry. Members will gain inside access to various high profile companies and associated business affiliates. These events are designed for members to learn the inner-workings of a wide range of industries.

Alumni Speaker Panel

The panel will showcase accomplished alumni speakers who will cover topics that members have determined as timely and press-worthy for their businesses. Through a Q&A format, alumni panelists and guest speakers from leading companies or in-demand careers will provide practical professional guidance to students, alumni, and the public.

Student and Young Alumni Mentorship Lunches

Members will host intimate gatherings to encourage the academic, social, and professional development of select young alumni from CUYA and Chapman50 student Scholars. To continue these mutually beneficial relationships, member mentors may be matched with graduating seniors or young alumni with similar professional and life goals.

 Social Mixers

All Chapman50 social events are open to members’ families and company connections to foster an inclusive family and professional network. Additionally, members will be included in select Board of Trustees and Governors social gatherings.
